Kill The Maverick

Kill the Maverick

The maverick lived among you,
A life immoderate,
He was passionate about a few things,
Nay, he loved them blind,
His passions you did bury,
Over his numbed mind,
So you made him do meaningless chores,
Made him kill a few rats,
While the man eater still roared,
You obfuscated your intention,
Made misery cloud over his mind,
Untill it cried out of frustration,
Untill you woke up to find,
You did kill the maverick,
By numbing his mind.
